Guild Recruitment.

Recruitment shall take place mostly by word of mouth. Also, a post will remain on the official Staghelm Forums to give contact information on how to request to join the guild. There will be no spamming of the in game general chat, and no ninja-invites (the act of opening a guild invite on someone who hasn't requested it). Recruitment will be handled by a short interview between an applicant and an Officer. All potential new members must go through the interview.

Membership Limitations,
1. You must be 18yrs or older to apply to the guild. Players under the age of 18 must come with recommendation from one of our long time members & will be taken under consideration. This does not apply to our members children.

2. There are no minimum levels for new recruits. However, no recruit lower than level 10 may reach a rank higher than Dusk Walker.

3. Applicants with a character name in bad taste will not be considered for entry.

4. Each full member gets one vote in all matters.

5. All full members must have only one main character in Darkfury. Only main characters can become an officer.

6. Any character that doesn't log on for 28 days will be considered inactive and removed form the guild. Members may request an extension for a set amount of time, but if they do not return by the agreed date, they will be removed.

Alternates.
1. Any Darkfury member may have as many active alts as they like in Darkfury.

2. All alts will be given the rank of Shadow. Members that begin to play an alt more than their main may request that the two characters in question have their ranks switched.

3. If a member leaves or is removed from the guild, all their characters will be removed. If a member is punished by being given the rank, "In The Light," all of their characters will be placed in the rank.

Membership Ranks.
Disciplinary Rank.
In The Light - Members may be placed here temporarily for charter violations by any officer. They will still be in the guild, but none of the options will be available to them.

Alternate Rank.
Shadow - All alts for Darkfury members.

Normal Ranks.
Dusk Walker - New recruit. They cannot have alts or vote on issues. Will be on trial for a duration of 3 weeks

Growing Shadow - Full member that is under the age of 18. Family appropriate language should be used in their presence.Automatic promotion to this rank after the trial period & agreeing to the Darkfury Charter.

Night Stalker - Full member. Automatic promotion to this rank after the trial period & agreeing to the Darkfury Charter.

Officers.
Dark Warden - Handles recruitment and enforces the charters. There are a minimum of 3 Wardens, and a maximum of 1 per 20 full members(rounded down). Example: There would be 3 Wardens in a guild of 42 members, but 4 Wardens in a guild of 85 members.

Darklady/Darklord - Placeholder rank that is rotated between officers every period. Length of a period is 120 days (4 months) divided by the number of officers (rounded down). Example: With 3 officers the period length would be 40 days but with 4 officers it would be 30 days.

Disciplinary Action.
Any violation of the Darkfury Charter (intentionally rolling Need on an item that your character cannot use) is subject to disciplinary action. These include:

1. A verbal warning.

2. Being demoted to the rank of "In The Light" for a period 24 hours to 7 days.

3. Removal of all characters from the guild.

If an officer is present for the violation, they may proceed immediately. If a member reports a violation made by another player, then the officer should ask other witnesses, if available, about the incident before confronting the accused. The officer must then decide if a violation was made. The severity of the punishment is left up to the officer involved, who will take into consideration the nature of the violation and previous problems with the player. The officer will report the disciplinary action to the other officers.

Any violation of the Blizzard User Agreement (buying/selling in game items for real world money) will result in the immediate removal from the guild.

Selecting the Officers.
Dark Wardens term limits are 4 months. New terms start on January 1st, May 1st, and September 1st. Two weeks before the new term, volunteers will be asked to run. One week prior, a 7 day poll will be placed on the forum, and the majority winners will be promoted to Dark Warden on the 1st. Any Full member may run, including the previous Dark Wardens.

Any Officer may step down at any time.

Removal of Officers.
Any full member may petition for the removal of any officer. A 7 day poll will be created to see if the officer should be removed.

Public Notes.
There is only one required entry for the Public Notes on the Guild menu under the Social tab. All Shadows must have the name of their owner's main character.

Charter Changes.
Any full member may type up and submit a change to the charter. A 7 day poll will be created.

Group Loot Regulations.

Loot will be the standard for any guild instance run. Need is defined as being any item that is useable upgrade for the character you are currently playing. Equipment for alts, selling on AH, or disenchanting for materials are not considered reasons to roll Need.

No looting will occur while other members of the group are fighting or are dead.

1. When an item comes up for roll, determine if you can use that item.

2. If you can use the item, determine if you likely would use it. Warriors can use cloth armor, but they would never need it. Likewise, Warlocks can use 1h swords, but would not need one with +str and +agl.

3. Determine if it is an upgrade to what you already have.

If all three of the above conditions apply, you may roll Need, or the Dice. If not, roll Greed, or the Coin. It is highly recommended that you never Pass on green Bind on Equip (BoE), unless bound by a previous agreement.

Bind on Equip (BoE).

All Green BoE items members will use in game roll mechanism for Greed/Need. Loot winner may do what they wish with the item.

If no one wants a bind on equip or trade skill item, they can be foddered or may be saved for other guild members who can use them, depending upon need. These items are either sent to the bank or mailed directly if there's only one person who needs a given item.

Bind on Pickup (BoP) and all Blue or Better Items.
Members are expected to pass on any bind on pickup items, or any Blue or better item.

Items are then discussed and, if more than one person wants something, we /roll and the item goes to the winner. Passing gives everyone a bit more time to compare to figure out who needs it most without a timer ticking down! It also gives the option of having items disenchanted.

If no one wants a bind on pickup item, then it is "foddered" -- everyone does a /roll and the winner can take the item to sell, play with, or can ask to have the item disenchanted and take the components (assuming, of course, that there is an enchanter on the run). If there is an enchanter in the group, and they would like to disenchant useless BoPs, they must speak up at the beginning of the run. If this is the case, then BoPs will be passed on at first, to allow for discussion. If the enchanter does not speak up before the run, then BoPs will be rolled on normally. Any enchanting materials created by disenchanting should be rolled on at the end of the instance to avoid delays.

Noted Exceptions (roll Greed).

Dark Runes, Corruptor Scourge Stones

Chest / Boxes / Crates.
Rolled on separately during the run for each chest/box/crate that is found. Rogues & Blacksmiths are to open locked chests, but do not get special consideration for the loot inside.

Herbs / Ores / Skins.
At the first occurrence of a resource, all resource collectors will manually roll (/roll). The descending roll order will determine the recourse collection rotation for all further resources in the particular family. No further rolls will be necessary.

Members may request claim to a specific item before entering the instance. The group may agree or disagree. If the item is not useable by any other member of the group, proceed as normal. If the item is a useable upgrade for another member, they can either simply agree to allow you to have it, or they can require you to Pass on all other rolls in the instance. Only one claim may be made at one time per person. The person is required to finish the instance even if the item doesn't drop. Breaking the agreement will result in being removed from the group, and their actions reported to an officer for possible disciplinary action.

Guild Bank Regulations
-Any item placed in a "By Request Only" tab can only be given out once that member requests it in the Bank Request forum. Other full guild members may protest the request or it may be denied on officer discretion(all of which should be posted in that members request post)

-Any item placed in a "Free for all" tab will be available to any full guild member for them to take regardless of any need issues( ex. a warrior, with no clothie alts, taking some cloth boots)

-Officers may move items from a "Free for all" to a "By Request Only" and vice versa, if they feel the item is valuable or not.

-At the end of every month, some items will be chosen from the bank to be removed and sold. Profits will return to the guild bank and post stating which items are being sold will be made.

-Guild Bank funds may only be used to purchase additional bank tabs or items viewed to be helpful to the guild as a whole. Requests for gold should be made in the Bank forum.

-Certain items may be deemed "rationed" by officers and will have weekly withdrawal limits placed on them. Changes being made to an items limitations require a 7 day poll to become offical. Specific limitations will be declared in the Bank Forum.

Charter updated with approved Guild Bank Rules. Minor language changes were made for accuracy because only guild members with a 'Night Stalker' rank or higher may view the bank at this time.

guild member --> full guild member

Please send a message through the website to each officer of Darkfury stating:

1) the name of your main character
2) that you read and understand the Charter.
Failure to do so before your trial period ends will result in removal from the guild.
